The Geira Roman Road is a gorgeous way to explore Peneda Geres National Park, the history and the wildside of the park.

We offer a circular walk that starts and end at Portela do Homem, Peneda Geres National Park – located on the border between Portugal and Spain.
Walking through pure nature you will discover ancient forests, some waterfalls and an old Roman road which links two of the main important cities in the Iberian Province: “Bracara Augusta”, nowadays called Braga in Portugal, and “Astúrica Augusta”, the Spanish city of Astorga.

On the way you will see some Roman mile stones, you will get the experience to walk on a Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) and you may spot some wildhorses.

You will have enough time to stop and enjoy the breathtaking landscape, explore waterfalls and swim in crystal clear waters.
You will be able to enjoy the silence and the genuine meaning of nature.

At the end of the tour we offer a delicious picnic lunch made with local food from the National Park and local drinks.
