We offer a private tour to explore Peneda-Gerês National Park, the only National Park in Portugal.
You will explore two traditional villages in Peneda-Gerês National Park: Soajo and Lindoso.

This is an immersive cultural and nature experience – you can walk on ancient paths surrounded by lush forests and scenic landscapes.

Itinerary:

8:00 a.m or 9:00 a.m – Pick up from your hotel in Porto, Braga or Viana do Castelo;

After a scenic drive we will arrive in Soajo, a secret mountain village in the heart of Peneda Gerês National Park.
In Soajo we will follow the walking trail “Paths of Bread and Faith” – 5km I 3.1 mi.
During the hike you will visit the Soajo watermills, granaries and the old shepherd shelters in Soajo mountain.

We will finish the hike by a lagoon, where you can relax and swim before to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with local food and drinks including Vinho Verde!

The combination of stunning natural surroundings and authentic gastronomic delights creates a well-rounded experience for visitors looking to explore the wonders of the Peneda-Gerês National Park while enjoying the flavors of the region.

After picnic we will leave Soajo and we will drive through the National Park – a scenic route.

We will stop briefly to peer over the Alto Lindoso Dam, crossing the dam we will arrive in Lindoso.

Lindoso boasts an impressive castle dating back to the 13th century, overlooking the border with Spain and the valley of the Lima river. From its ramparts you can get a fine view of the sixty granaries (espigueiros) from the 18th century.

At Lindoso you have the option to hike on Serra Amarela (+ 2 km I 1.24 mi)

After exploring Lindoso we drive back to your hotel for drop off.

Moderate hike – 5 km walking trail in Soajo + 7 km walking trail in Serra Amarela that combines the discovery of Lindoso village and some secret lagoons in the mountains.
