Itinerary:

8:00 a.m or 9:00 a.m – Pick up at your hotel in Porto or Braga.

After a scenic drive you will arrive in Montaria mountain village, Viana do Castelo.
You start the tour at Carmen´s farm, a traditional small farm that keeps alive the old portuguese traditions in the  countryside.

Carmen (the owner of the farm) will share with you the secrets of making homemade corn bread. After which you will be able to make your own corn bread!

While the bread gets ready in the wooden oven, we will walk around Montaria village to visit the inside of a watermill, walk on levadas (water channels) and through beautiful forests.

The walk ends at Carmen´s farm where you will taste the freshly made cornbread with fresh locally made food, orange juice, water and Vinho Verde.

After picnic we will change the scenery, we will drive 10 min. to explore the waterfalls and the 7 lagoons of Serra D’Arga on a circular walking tour around a wild river. During the tour, there is time to swim or relax by the river.

At the end of the tour is time to go back to the city of Porto or Braga.
